Wax London September Selection

After a long, humid summer, September is finally here and it’s nearly time to start breaking out the long sleeves and layers. Four new pieces from Wax London are getting us in the mood for fall and have us anticipating every crisp September morning.

Wax London should get so much credit for these incredible plaids. They grew their following with a waxed jacket, but the Whiting Shirt has quickly become their breadwinner. It's very, very easy to see why when you touch and feel these overshirts. Sometimes we prefer to wear them as a close-to-body shirt rather than a second layer. They crossover and are able to be worn both ways. They are definitely the statement piece of any outfit and the colors speak for themselves - the texture will speak directly to you.

Whiting Overshirt Fit Notes: We've always thought the Whiting fits a bit big. But, that's the nature of the shirt. They call it the overshirt. We personally like to wear it as a second layer at the shop. Something you might wear with a light jacket over the top. But we see a lot of people wear these almost as jackets. So our suggestion would be, buy your true size if you want to wear it this way. If you want to wear it as more of a shirt, size down one. Shop owner Tommy's keystone size is a Medium and is wearing a small in the pictures. You can see this piece fits more like a shirt than an overshirt when you size down. This round, they've gone back with a more loose fit and are recommending sizing down if you don't want a loose fit. Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 40" chest.

Hybrid Bomber Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a small in the pictures. It's a rather tight squeeze in the arms for him. So, we would recommend sticking with your true size. That would be the best option for layering, for sure. Tommy is 5'10," 170lbs with a 40" chest.
