The Ubranded Brand’s New 18oz Slub Selvedge
A new heavyweight denim from your wallet’s favorite jeans company is finally here: The UB269 18oz Indigo & Natural Seed Slub Selvedge.
Every year, we wait patiently for the new iteration of the special edition Unbranded release. Well, it's finally here and it's beyond the pale. They're gone even heavier this round with an 18oz powerhouse. In the past, the slub has been "big slub." This time, it's more of a subtle slubbiness. From all of our experience, this is that slub that dwells beneath the surface and surprises you with the first couple of washes (because it's a short slub). It's not outwardly heavily knotted, but you can see the grid pattern that we can ensure will show up as this denim fades.
The weft is this nice warm tone because the natural cotton was never bleached. This will poke through the open spaces in the slub on the front of the denim. You'll also notice the unevenness of the thicker and thinner yarns when you flip the cuff. This is what will ultimately give you all that colorful texture. This is also the first time they've done that veg-tan patch. You simply love to see it.
